Wyoming State Capitol

The Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne is a Neoclassical sandstone building with a distinctive gilded dome that can be seen from miles across the High Plains. The building was completed in 1890, the same year Wyoming achieved statehood, and has been expanded with two wing additions. A major $300 million renovation completed in 2019 restored the building to its original grandeur while adding modern infrastructure.
